Friends of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

With your donation we welcome your participation in the community of Friends of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross “EKR”.

Friends of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross is a global membership network of donors supporting the mission of the EKR Foundation.

When a mother arrived in Guatemala City from the countryside waiting for chemotherapy and had no safe place to sleep, we were there. When a newly-widowed mother of four requested support in Japan, we were there. When families had no options for pediatric hospice care in Chile, we were there. The EKR Foundation is currently developing grief education for hospitals and cancer groups in the Southwest of the United States. Why? Because the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation is there, extending compassion and understanding to those in need. We believe in the power of empathy and connection, providing a guiding light during life’s most challenging moments. Together, we make a difference in the lives of those facing adversity, fostering a world where kindness prevails.

Friends of EKR will have special access to educational series, online events and programs, and updates regarding developments and opportunities around the world. They will be a part of ongoing programming designed for individuals and organizations interested in end-of-life and grief care in developing countries.

The EKR Foundation is a non-profit organization inspired by the life of psychiatrist, humanitarian and hospice pioneer, Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. The EKR Foundation was founded one year after Elisabeth’s death in 2005 by her son and current Board President, Ken Ross. Over the course of the last 18 years, the EKR Foundation has created international chapters on four continents, with in-person training in more than 20 countries.

Donations provide necessary support for international education, community support, partnering with the EKR Foundation to further the acceptance of death and dying as a part of life, and enhancing the compassionate care available to those in need around the planet. Won’t you become a Friend of EKR?

The ethos of the EKR Foundation and its chapters is rooted in Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’ core mission: To open the hearts and minds of people around the world so that all can experience a dignified life, especially when approaching death. By educating the general public, clinicians, patients and families alike, it was Elisabeth’s vision that we could foster a more compassionate society, one that would also grow to embrace death, grief and unconditional love as a part of life.
